You need to view this site in Firefox 3, Gran Paradiso, or Opera 9.5…
This technology is very new and is still be adopted by all browsers…

Sudhaker has a good point, the files are very big, but I like them. I never use animations right now because I hate the look of GIFs. But this could really make them something fun to use.

sudhakar , while that’s true, this is a clear case of the higher end stuff you could do with APNG. I’d imagine that when the format becomes more supported that web developers will start to be tad more robust in creating animation. For example I see it being very good option for a 2 to 4 frame animation that gif just normally seemed to ugly for. In which case I doubt the size will be too much bigger (depending). Back when animated gif were the rave we seen quite a few big one of those too…

Wow
I like the Firefox logo animation – it is nice and flowing and continuous. The Mozilla logo animation, however, seems too abrupt.
And they are both extremely heavy.

Very nice. Seems to be an improvement over mng. Now, if only we could reduce the file size further… you know for those still on dial-up

Getting a bit dizzy looking at spinny up their. Maybe there should be a 3 spin limit.

I like the animation, but it’s a bit of a large file for such a small picture, is it not?

This technology is truly great. The point is not to create animated films using APNGs, but rather to animate small UI elements. Being able to use alpha channels in animations makes life easier.

This are pretty cool! I do agree that they can be somewhat large – but it would only matter to web developers. This new format has been parsed for different software languages, including mine. So, I am definitely going to give this a shot! My apps will look great! ^^
