3D APNG’s

January 24th, 2008

These 3D APNG’s where rendered out in 3D Max and outputted into a png sequence. The online APNG Assember was used to build this apng file.

All APNG’s by William Wong
“The bumblebee animation and model is not created by me, I just happen to came across a 3dmax file that was posted on a 3d forum … I don’t remember the authors name… so please don’t give me credit for it, I only rendered it and made the apng.”

.apng’s are supported by Firefox 3, but they’re the aftermath of work in 3D Max.

Wow I really like these animated pngs (APNG), I had to download firefox3… but its totally worth it… I cant wait to see other browsers adopt this new technology. I think this could really open up the possibilities of graphics for the web.

Someone send Microsoft an inquiry to include this in IE8 already! I don’t want to make IE8 hacks on my site for it.

The above files where created in 3D Studio, then rendered out into a frame sequence and compiled in the online APNG editor.

If only Rocketdock or Objectdock supported this format…my desktop would be a lot different…
