apngasm 2.2 is released

APNG Assembler 2.2 is available for download:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/apngasm/

Command line examples:
apngasm.exe output.png frame000.png
apngasm.exe output.png frame*.png

Changes in version 2.2:

- Turned on transparency (blend=over) optimization for indexed mode
(works fine with Firefox 3.6.7 and later)

- Added loop control switch /l
For example, /l2 will create animation with 2 loops.

Download gif2apng version 1.4:

Command line: gif2apng.exe anim.gif [anim.png]

Good thing about the version: APNG bug #441971 is fixed.

This bug caused previous versions of Firefox to reject APNG files with blend=over in mode 0 (grayscale), mode 3 (indexed), and mode 2 (rgb).

Here’s some examples of APNG files with blend=over:

Also, gif2apng 1.4 will be released shortly, it will take advantage of blend=over option for better optimization.
